At the beginning of freshman's admission, School of Arts held a 2019 parents' forum in classroom 208 of Yingtian Campus on the afternoon of September 7. Ding Shujuan, Secretary of the General Branch of the Party, Huang Yimei, Deputy Secretary of the General Branch of the Party, Wang Zheng, Vice dean, Huang Min, Director of the Student Affairs Office, Xia Xuemin, Director of the Department of Health and Beauty, and teachers in charge of freshman classes attended the meeting. First of all, Huang Yilan welcomed the arrival of freshmen and their parents on behalf of the faculty, and thanked them for their trust in JSCVC and their recognition of the college. Starting from the independence of freshmen in college, she emphasized that college students should improve their time management ability, interpersonal communication ability and social adaptability, and requested parents to communicate more with their children, to listen to their children's voices, to have confidence in the teaching management ability of the college, hoping that parents and the college should work together to pay attention to children's academic performance, physical and mental health. Then, Huang Min explained the safety issues to students, the management norms of dormitories the policy of rewards and punishments and assist for loans. She introduced the requirements for students' study and life, and hoped that parents cooperate with their teachers, coordinate and communicate with each other, and jointly ensure their happy study and healthy growth during school years. Finally, parents asked questions about the upgrade of students' academic levels, employment prospects, military training details and so on, they received patient and meticulous answers one by one, and the atmosphere on the spot was warm and active.
Through this parent forum, the college and students' parents have established effective links to ensure the smooth flow of information. Home-school education reached a consensus, laying a solid foundation for teaching and education work.
